I was unable to sign the petition because it demanded I enter a numeric value for my postal code. Postal codes in Canada have letter as well as numbers. Please fix this!

  • Mgsaz

I am facing the same problem. What do Canadians do?

  • Jessicabilmer

Same issue, no postal code options, for Canadians, WE CARE TOO.

  • Mark

How arrogant to NOT include Canadians . . . which makes you part of the problem instead of the solution. Thanks for nothing.

  • Ted Woynillowicz

Canadians care and support this action.

  • Hardcoreigor

Come on postal code for us Canadians also avaaz.org join now or at least take a look.

I KNOW CANADIANS CARE. PLEASE GO TO MY MICHIGAN SAND TAR OIL SPILL VIDEOS OF LIES AND DEATHS FROM THE COMPANIES INVOLVED AND THE CHEMICALS THEY TRANSPORT. YOU TUBE JOHN BOLENBAUGH AND WATCH THE MOST RECENT VIDEOS FIRST. YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU DID. PLEASE TELL EVERYONE ABOUT THE VIDEOS.

I WANT TO GO TO DC AND SIT IN. I CAN DRIVE BUT I NEED HELP WITH GAS. IS THERE ANYONE THAT WANTS TO RIDE THERE ON MY WAY TO FLORIDA AND SHARE THE COST? 269-580-5393

A petition alternative for those having difficulty with this page:

It is my understanding that this petition will be given to US President and Congress. The US President and Congress only listens to their constituents (and most of the time they don’t do that…) So perhaps you can find a petition to your government/politicians/leaders to close the Alberta Tar Sands? That would be most welcome on behalf of Earth’s inhabitants. A lot depends upon you Canadians. As much as it does on Brazilians protecting the Amazon and rainforests. So please, do something. Thank you.

  • Ruth K

Would like to sign the petition. Please allow Canadians to do this.

where can I find the justification for street action on this issue? why this pipeline now? I have clicked on every page on this site and cannot find any explanation for the specific problem of this pipeline among many pipelines.

Thanks for the link DC, worked great. As a resident of Ontario, Canada, I am totally opposed to Tar Sands development and proud that our provincial Premier McGuinty is investing in renewables.

In each of these matters – in fact in all matters – we must think of ‘our choices effect’ or ‘our cost’ on children, now and future … Let’s replace dirty fuel with abundant sunshine .

Try using five 1′s or 0′s

That’s what we’re doing – trying to get life preserved!

Our money and time urgently need to be spent on developing clean technologies. Every dollar and every hour spent on dirty technology is a serious waste of resources, further delaying our need for clean energy.

This issue effects ALL world citizens so why can’t we all sign up regardless of whether we have a US Zip Code?

  • Kleiniken

Funny to see the pictures. The pipeline will create 20,000 high paying jobs and the protest looks like it is in the hundreds. LOL easy choice for Obama. Carbon poverty or Pipeline prosperity.

Jobs, reduced trade deficit, energy security and a way out of the recession with the Keyston pipeline. Or we could just say no and let China have the Oil and the money, yeah lets hope the US keeps shooting itself in the head.

I challenge you to find one unbiased economist who can make this claim with a straight face. The compromised State Dept. says it will create 900 jobs, mostly for Canadians working in the US.
