A year ago most of us had never heard the word “frack” but thanks to Josh Fox, we now know what gas fracking is doing to our water tables, soil, rivers and streams and the horrid legacy its unknown toxins will leave behind in our earth and air. Most people haven’t heard much about tar sands either but this short video’s jaw-dropping images of just what the tar sands project already means for planet earth is going to help raise needed awareness too. Hopefully it will drive a bunch more people to the front of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue over the next 15 days as people from across the country show up to count themselves present in this historic exercise in civil disobedience. This is a watershed moment in the environmental movement. It feels like the tipping point is in play. Thanks, Josh.

Great film. Very enlightening. The world must see it. I’m with you Josh. O’Bama–do not allow the Keystone XL pipeline to run through the US. Don’t let greedy oil barons ruin our country like they did at Keystone. All pipelines leak. We don’t need anymore disasters.

This film shows the actual damage being done. Once the wells are dug in and the gas companies plant the grass all around, the damage being done is no longer visible. There are so many lies and deceptions be given to us, it leaves us no choice but to investigate and stand up for our rights to have have clean air, clean water and clean food. Large corporations have gotten their way for far too long. President Obama- please stand up with us and do not give in to the few who make all the money . Keep our lands, our waters, our air, and our foods clean and healthy for all.

I am Canadian and I am disgusted. If I live long enough to have my grandchildren as why did I let this happen. Will they understand that there was little I could have done? That corrupt greedy people didn’t care. That they were very stupid people with a lot of education in money rather than in people. That they knew exactly what they were doing and didn’t care. That people were afraid to do without. That our throw away society had become passive and brain washed. That they didn’t know how to live without certain things even though my grandparents and their parents before them found ways to live without the “LUXURIES” of our time. Canada and United States are ready for civil disobedience and from what I understand can cross borders without gov’t requests. We need to stop this. Look what nuclear reactors are doing. So many young people are dying of cancer. It is not hard to figure out why. The earth has NEVER been at peace. All too soon there will be nothing left to fight over. I hope they all rot to death.

Frances were deleted. If so what happened to freedom of speach? I could not work with any facet of Alberta tar sands. Our beautiful Boreal forest , do they not realize the necessity and purpose of such pristine areas on this planet? The here and now is an easy life. But their/our children and grandchildren……..down the line will not have an easy life. If they will be able to produce children of their own at all, it will be a short painfull miserable life. Plagued with respritory diseases and incurable cancers and poisoned food and water. I hope Harper and his flunkies and corporate North American all rot to death. If the R.C.M.P. show up at my door, I won’t be surprised. Scared S—–ss mind you, but not surprised.
