Yes We Can, Stop the Pipeline
Here is the media advisory that we’re sending out to media today.
Former Obama for America youth organizers to risk arrest at White House; Joining more than 700 already arrested to stop Keystone XL pipeline
Washington — A group of former Obama for America youth staffers and volunteers will lead more than 100 people in civil disobedience at the White House this morning to demand that President Obama deny the permit for a major new tar sands oil pipeline.

Vice President Al Gore issued a statement last night calling the protestors “brave.” Also joining the protest is Oscar-nominated director Josh Fox (Gasland).

WHY: The President must live up to his campaign promises to fight climate change and get the country off of oil. The Keystone XL pipeline is a key test of his commitment before the 2012 election. If he chooses to permit the pipeline, he risks alienating a key voting block—youth and environmentalists.
